I know there was cocoa and biscuits, but I noticed a distinct lack of marshmallows last night. That would have made it an absolutely smashing party.

Also, the pile didn't look nearly so big as I thought it would. Here I was picturing the mass book burnings throughout history, without realising this was just the few Muggle books from the personal libraries of teenagers. All in all, pretty fire, but not the most effective show of biblioclasm that I've heard of.

Am I the only one who was disappointed about there being no Hungry Hungry Hippos during Muggle Studies? I haven't played that game since I was twelve and now I have the biggest craving for it. I reckon it would be amusing to use gobstones as the little balls.

In other news, someone's cat has taken a liking to my bed. Does anyone know who the bitchy snooty ginger belongs to? Not that I don't enjoy company or anything, but I woke up the other night with the thing trying to sleep on my face. Cat's got some unaddressed issues, that's all.

Well, I suppose Quidditch games might be a little more laid back from now on, seeing as we'll be out of practice. It'll be fine amusement for everyone involved, I'm sure.

So, I'm thinking of making some bluder-sized and bludger-shaped things that clearly are not bludgers, paired with a thing that is clearly not a beaters bat. I thought they could be fixtures in the common room, just a bit of fun for everyone. A little recreational game like chess or gobstones, if you will. That could help with the ducking/dodging/whacking things practice, couldn't it? Anything with a quaffle is bound to be trickier to imitate, given that it's got so much to do with broom movement.

Nevermind, stupid idea.
